GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The space program is responsible for a lot of technological advancements from LASIK surgery to firefighting equipment.

1.6 million people are diagnosed with cancer every year. For those who seek treatment, the side effects can be really devastating.

Now, a scientist at UF is trying to use what we’ve learned from outer space to help cancer patients.
