OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - “We have a slogan: Toyota makes the car, Deluca makes the difference,” that’s the slogan North Central Florida residents have heard for 45 years.

Frank DeLuca founded his dealership in 1978 and it has grown it over the years.

“We went from 3 acres of land to 24.7 acres of land. We had 18 employees, now there’s 192 employees. It’s grown quite a bit over the 45 years” said DeLuca.

Employees at DeLuca Toyota are now selling 400 cars a month, but their business principal is more than just sales.

During the past 45 years, Frank DeLuca has invested 11 million dollars back into the community.

To name a couple projects, he helped expand The Reilly Arts Center by adding the “Frank DeLuca Grand Lobby.”

He also donated one million dollars to to remodel the Frank DeLuca YMCA in 2012, then another million to the Sportsplex outdoor expansion.

“If it wasn’t for the community, I wouldn’t be who I am today. Giving back has always been my top priority. Giving back should not be just a privilege, but a responsibility. I have a saying, giving back does not only feel good but it’s the right thing to do” said DeLuca.

Deluca said his key to success is hard work, dedication and surrounding himself with people he can trust.

DeLuca and his team will continue building relationships and selling cars for many years to come, but for now they will continue celebrating 45.
