Santa Fe College student arrested after being found carrying a firearm on campus

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A Santa Fe College student was arrested on campus today after he was found carrying a firearm.

21-year-old Jordan Tucker faces charges after campus police received an anonymous tip through its ‘see something, say something’ reporting portal.

He was arrested outside a classroom, which also caused the on-campus charter school, Santa Fe College Academy, to be put on a “Hold” for about 25 minutes.

Police found two handguns in Tucker’s backpack.
