GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say a convicted felon is back in jail after hitting another person with a gun.

Deputies say Clark Hobbs, 30, began arguing with the victim and a witness, left, and returned with the gun, which had a laser sight for aim.

Deputies say the victim grabbed a bat for defense, at which point Hobbs struck them.

A search revealed Hobbs was convicted on charges related to a burglary in Minnesota in 2017.
