GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies made an arrest early Sunday morning after conducted vehicle search revealed drugs, ammunition, and a handgun.

Carlos Gonzalez, 38, was driving the truck. Deputies say he showed nervous indicators before giving consent to law enforcement to search his vehicle.

Deputies found 10.8 grams of methamphetamine, 110 rounds of ammunition, a large sum of counterfeit currency, and a loaded handgun. The gun, ammo, and currency were all concealed in a manner intended to avoid detection, deputies say.

Gonzalez was arrested and charged with three counts of possession and is being held in the county jail with a bond of $260,000.
