GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - North Central Florida schools are offering free meals to students who rely on school lunches over the summer season.

In Alachua County, children and teens (18 and younger) can go to one of 70 locations, most allowing students to eat their meals on-site. Twelve locations offer to-go boxes, which contain seven days worth of frozen meals for breakfast and lunch.

Lunch will be served starting June 8. Click here for summer meal schedules and locations around Alachua.

The program is funded by the USDA, which provides funding for counties to provide the food. To find a location near your area, click here.
