Gainesville man arrested on child sex abuse charges

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — A 62-year-old man is being held without bond in the Alachua County Jail on child sex abuse charges.

Gainesville police say their investigation into Michael Taylor started last month when they were looking into a separate case.

An 11-year-old girl came forward saying Taylor inappropriately touched her over the course of several months, starting when she was 10 last year.

Officers say Taylor would bribe her with candy, soda, and money. He faces charges of molestation and sexual assault of a minor.
