GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The American Heart Association Heart Walk donated 12 CPR training kits to Alachua County Public Schools. Students can familiarize themselves with emergency scenarios at one summer camp session on Tuesday.

Students attending Hidden Oak Elementary School’s Summer Camp will be the first children in the district to get the training. The training aims to equip the kids with the confidence to provide life saving care in emergencies. Students will not be considered CPR certified after completing the training.

The kits were donated through a grant provided by the HCA foundation. Several University of Florida football players will join the training session on Tuesday.
