Gainesville man sentenced for sex crimes against children

Officers arrested Brendan Dinkins, 28, last July after an underage girl told police he would ask for nude photos of her over text.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A Gainesville man is sentenced to five years in prison on nearly a dozen charges of sex crimes against children.

Brendan Dinkins, 28, was sentenced Monday, according to the Gainesville Police Department. Officers arrested him last July after an underage girl told police Dinkins would ask for nude photos of her over text.

Investigators say he sent her inappropriate pictures of himself over the course of several months.
