Initially, Bahamon did not speak with detectives about his father’s disappearance. Detectives attempted another interview with him while he was at Marion County Jail, where he admitted to murdering Bahamon-Prada.

According to Marion County Sheriff’s Office officials, Bahamon expressed that his father was “trying to link up with satanic people” and trying to kill him. He described the killing and burial in the backyard extensively to detectives.

He remains in Marion County Jail without a bond.
