New food and entertainment venue coming to Ocala

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - A new food and entertainment hub called The Forge is opening in Ocala this month.

The three-acre destination is expected to feature a variety of dining options, ranging from casual eateries to full service restaurants, with cuisines representing different cultures and tastes.

“We have high end bars, we have sit down restaurants you can get a nice steak. We have sliders, we have Mexican food, Brazilian, Asian fusion restaurant. You know there’s pizza, ice cream, pretty much anything you could want, we got it here. There is always going to be entertainment, it’ll just be a great place in Ocala for people to come and enjoy themselves,” developers Shelia and Jo Gibson said.

Beyond its restaurants, The Forge will also include several entertainment venues including multiple bars.

One of the centerpieces of the development is a two-story speakeasy-style venue. Developers say the space will feature a DJ booth, a private lounge area with seating for about 150 people, and multiple bars.

The venue is expected to host live entertainment. Special events will also be a part of the The Forge’s broader entertainment offerings.

Developers also confirm a brewery is planned for the property. Construction is already underway, with the brewery expected to open in the months ahead.

The Forge is expected to open this month with multiple restaurants and entertainment options.
