Petition circulates to bring back Krishna Lunch on UF campus

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A petition is circulating online to bring back Krishna Lunch on UF campus.

In the week since the Change.org petition began, almost a thousand people have signed.

The university suspended the lunch service after a Krishna House truck hit a 19-year-old student on a crosswalk in February, sending her to the hospital.

The petition urges the university to restart talks with Krishna Lunch organizers, review a new safety plan and set a timeline to bring back the long-running program.
