Remembering Lois Forte, former Newberry city commissioner

NEWBERRY, Fla. (WCJB) - Newberry leaders are remembering a longtime Newberry city commissioner, Lois Forte.

Officials confirmed Forte passed on June 13 at the age of 85. She served as a city commissioner for 22 years. Those close to Forte say her heart and passion were dedicated to serve the citizens of Newberry.

A celebration of life is planned for noon of June 20 at the Milam Funeral home in Newberry. A funeral service will follow at 1p.m. More information about Forte’s life and funeral services can be found on her obituary here.
