Alachua County school board responds to homeless facility proposal

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County School Board President Thomas Vu sent a letter to Gainesville city commissioners on Wednesday in response to questions about a plan to use empty schools as homeless facilities.

The letter only says the school board is willing to appoint a representative to participate in a group to address homelessness.

School board members had Vu remove a warning that the district is not making any other commitments at this time.
