Deported man arrested for child sex crimes faces federal charges in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A Mexican national who was deported, returned to the United States and was arrested for child sex crimes, now faces federal charges in Gainesville.

Pablo Gomez-Sarmiento, 25, was arrested in Alachua County last year on a charge of impregnating a child.

He was deported in 2020.

His trial is scheduled for July 22.
