Teenager arrested after $60,000 damage to Alachua apartment gym

ALACHUA, Fla. (WCJB) - A 17-year-old was arrested and accused of causing $60,000 worth of damage to an apartment gym.

Police officers said the teenager broke into One 51 Apartments last month and broke a sink in the gym bathroom.

Police said the damage caused flooding inside the gym, clubhouse and basketball court.

An anonymous tip led to his arrest. He is facing charges of burglary and criminal mischief.
