Gainesville mother accused in 2-year-old’s death held in jail before trial

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A 29-year-old woman accused of beating her 2-year-old daughter to death will remain in jail until her trial.

Jessica Wilson had a pretrial hearing on Wednesday, where a judge approved a motion for pretrial detention.

Wilson was arrested last week in connection with the child’s death.

Court records say Wilson did not call 911 out of fear of getting in trouble.
