WALDO, Fla. (WCJB) - An Alachua County man is facing felony charges after deputies say he threatened seven people with a firearm — including four juveniles — during a boating trip Friday night at Lake Alto.

Witnesses told deputies that 27-year-old Teddy Stanze was drinking and became agitated after a woman left a party at the lake.

Stanze attempted to force his way onto a pontoon boat after other guests asked him to leave, according to witnesses.

Stanze then asked one of his children to retrieve a gun from his vehicle, witnesses said. The child allegedly got the weapon and gave it to Stanze, who then pointed it at guests and their children.

Stanze told the group he would “blow their heads off,” according to witnesses.

Stanze is being held on a $120,000 bond.
