25 sex offenders, predators arrested in Alachua County compliance operation

FDLE agents and sheriff’s deputies conducted a three-day sweep of 80 people

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Twenty-five convicted sex offenders and sexual predators are in jail after Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies partnered with FDLE agents for a three-day operation.

Out of 80 people checked, agents arrested 16 sex offenders and nine sexual predators for failing to comply with registration requirements. All 25 were booked into the Alachua County Jail.
