Woman killed after pickup truck strikes her SUV at High Springs intersection

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. (WCJB) - A 69-year-old Sarasota woman was killed Saturday afternoon after a pickup truck struck her SUV while she was stopped at Main Street and Northwest 174th Avenue, according to state troopers.

The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. The woman was transported to a hospital, where she died.

State troopers said the pickup truck driver slammed into the woman’s SUV at the intersection. The collision shut down the intersection for several hours.
