GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - On Thursday morning, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office received a report about some trapped ducklings.
Multiple baby ducks were trapped in a storm drain near the intersection of NW 105th Drive and NW 28th Place in Gainesville.
Alachua County Sheriff officials say a deputy found the ducklings quacking with their mother keeping watch nearby.
The deputy then pulled back the storm drain grate and used a rescue mat to help him reach the ducklings.
The rescue took around 40 minutes, and all the ducklings were reunited with their mother.
