GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — Gainesville police are updating the public on two child sex cases that have been successfully prosecuted.
Officers say Kolton Kerns, 27, and Robert McBride, 85, will both serve prison time for possessing child sex abuse material and other sex offenses.
Kerns was sentenced in April to 20 years in prison for possessing illicit material and promoting sexual performance by a child.
McBride was sentenced in January to eight years. Officers say his crimes date back nearly 40 years.
Both men are now officially designated as sex offenders.
