Interview: ‘Stop The Violence’ rally on Saturday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The 27th annual Stop the Violence Back-to-School rally aims to build healthier relationships, stronger families, and safer communities. Santa Fe College’s northwest campus will host this year’s violence prevention event Saturday, July 25.

Doors will open at 9a.m. The first 5,000 students will receive free backpacks containing school supplies. Speakers will address students and parents to spark conversations against violence at home, officials say.

TV20’s Robert Bradfield sat down with The Rev. Karl Anderson, president and founder of People Against Violence Enterprises, to learn why the event is valuable to the community.
