Gainesville woman killed after being hit by pickup truck in Levy County

CHIEFLAND, Fla. (WCJB) - A Gainesville woman was killed after being hit by a pickup truck near Chiefland around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
The driver of the pickup truck was a 70-year-old man heading southbound on US-129 towards County Road 320. The 43-year-old woman was walking in the right most part of the southbound lane of US-129, when the driver collided with the pedestrian around
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
