Fort White town hall assistant fired for insubordination

FORT WHITE, Fla. (WCJB) - The assistant to Fort White’s town clerk received a termination letter Thursday citing insubordination, according to new Town Clerk Glenn Hunter.

Kelly MacPherson was fired by Hunter less than two weeks after town officials approved giving her the added responsibility of processing payroll while the town searches for a permanent clerk.

MacPherson’s qualifications had been questioned during a town council meeting the previous week by both council members and residents.
