61-year-old surrenders to police 8 months after crash that killed man, seriously injured his wife and daughter
NASHVILLE (WSMV/Gray News) - A 61-year-old man has surrendered himself to authorities eight months after his alleged involvement in a fatal car crash in Tennessee.
James Brewington Jr. turned himself in to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the department announced.
Brewington was wanted for his alleged role in the crash that killed 41-year-old Dustin McLeod in November 2025.

On Nov. 9, Brewington was driving southbound and tried to go around a vehicle making a right turn, but swerved into oncoming traffic, police said.
His pickup truck then hit McLeod’s Jeep Renegade head-on.
McLeod, his wife, Ashley, and their daughter were inside. McLeod was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Ashley and the couple’s daughter survived with serious injuries.
Brewington was booked on warrants for vehicular homicide by reckless conduct, reckless endangerment and three counts of aggravated assault.
He remains jailed on a $135,000 bond.
