Newberry approves ordinance to streamline outdoor seating approval process

NEWBERRY, Fla. (WCJB) - City leaders unanimously approved an ordinance Monday that will expedite the planning process for businesses seeking to establish outdoor seating in the city.

Under the new ordinance, businesses will have the option to combine their site plan request with their outdoor seating exemption request, rather than submitting them separately.

City leaders said the change eliminates bureaucratic steps in Newberry and saves time for all parties involved.
