ALACHUA, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua police say criminal charges are moving forward after a July 26 traffic stop involving a drunk driver and a stolen firearm.
Police released video Friday of the stop on US 441, which began after officers observed a car swerving and speeding. The vehicle did not pull over, and officers rammed it to stop it.
An officer had a gun drawn on the car for four minutes before backup arrived.
The driver, Graham Foster, was coming from a bar in Alachua at the time of the stop. Police say his passenger, Homer Wiggins, was found with a gun that had been reported stolen just hours before the stop.
