Alachua County man in custody after Harbor Cove Apartments standoff

Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say a man is in custody after a standoff. Officials say no injuries were reported.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say a man is in custody after a standoff. Officials say no injuries were reported.

Deputies responded to reports of an armed disturbance at Harbor Cove Apartments. The man initially refused to come out of the building, drawing heavy law enforcement presence.

Reports say the man eventually surrendered peacefully.
