Scott joined the TV20 weather team in March 2022 as a weekend meteorologist. His passion for all things weather helped contribute to fulfilling Scott’s lifelong dream of becoming an operational meteorologist. He enjoys everything from summertime thunderstorms to winter blizzards and all the weather in between. Scott joins us from Connecticut after studying at Western Connecticut State University where he pursued his meteorology degree and is thrilled to experience, and forecast, the upcoming hurricane seasons in the Sunshine State.
His most notable experiences when coming face-to-face with nature’s fury were when Tropical Storm Irene and Superstorm Sandy brought severe impacts to Connecticut in back-to-back years 2011 and 2012; respectively. Then the Blizzard of 2013 hit and dropped nearly 3 feet of snow in Scott’s hometown. The rarity of these high-impact events meant the need to accurately forecast such significant storms was increasing and the importance of keeping his community safe was great.
Scott’s passion for weather is not limited to New England’s very changeable weather and he looks forward to providing excellent weather coverage to North Central Florida for the foreseeable future.
When not in the TV20 Weather Center you can find Scott watching The Weather Channel with his rescue pup Jupiter, outdoors kayaking or pursing his favorite hobby, drone photography.
