Marion County, Fla.
Julia Laude

Julia Laude joined TV20 in March of 2019. Originally from Binghamton, New York, she graduated in May 2016 from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication/Journalism with a minor in Visual and Performing Arts.

She is currently the Ocala Bureau Chief for WCJB TV20. Before joining the TV20 team, her career took her to Fairbanks, Alaska to work as a General Assignment Reporter exploring the last frontier. During Julia's more than two years in the interior of Alaska, she got to experience the many wonders of the state, including the midnight sun and the tallest mountain peak in North America - Mount Denali.

While reporting in the 49th state, Julia covered kindergarten through 12th-grade education, Air Force and Army military events, and happenings at Fairbanks City Hall. One of her favorite journalism journeys took her to San Diego, California to attend the U.S. Marine Corps Educator Workshop, shadowing Alaska teachers and recruits, and producing segments on various aspects of Marines life.

In Florida, she enjoys reporting on everything Marion County has to offer. If you have a story idea on happenings in Ocala, please contact Julia by email at (She would love to do some stories on her favorite animal: manatees.)
