Farah and Farah is pleased to announce the “Empowering Greatness Scholarship” that will provide 20 students with the incredible experience of unlocking their inner greatness through community service. The “Empowering Greatness Scholarship” fund focuses on the importance of community service in helping students develop civic and social responsibility skills and community awareness around gun violence prevention.
More than 40 Florida museums are dedicated to telling the state’s African-American history from the 16th to the 21st centuries.
Liberty Hill Schoolhouse is on the list of Florida’s Historic Black Public Schools and was established in 1875, historically significant for its 110-year association with education and for its importance to the cultural heritage of the African American community in Gainesville.
Housed in the former Jones Family home at 1013 NW 7th Avenue in Gainesville, it serves as a tribute to one of the most influential educators in the history of Alachua County.
