After competing in athletics throughout her life, Cierra knew from a young age she wanted to work in sports. When she got to college at UF, she realized she wanted to work in sports broadcasting.
Cierra Clark, who is originally from Orlando, Florida joined the WCJB TV20 Sports team in Winter 2018.
She graduated from UF with a degree in Telecommunications with a focus in news. At UF she worked with WUFT, an on campus PBS affiliate, as a news reporter. Most of her time as a student she worked with ESPN Gainesville and covered multiple Gator, professional, and local high school sports. She also anchored the station's 5PM News show as the sports anchor for several semesters. By doing that, she gained familiarity with the North Central Florida area, and knows how important local sports are to the viewers. She looks forward to starting her journey as TV20's Weekend Sports Anchor.
After her time at UF, she interned at TV20, helping with the Sports Overtime Friday night football show. She then joined the station as an Web Producer/Video Editor for the morning news shows. During the winter of 2018 she was brought on as the station's new weekend sports anchor.
Cierra is also pursuing her Masters Degree from UF in sports management, as she never wants to stop learning.
When she's not working or studying she likes to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Cierra also has a very competitive drive and enjoys racing in local 5k races. She also tries to work out every day in her free time by running and going to the gym.
She is an avid social media user and you can keep up with her sports updates on twitter @CierraClark_ . If you have an interesting sports story, you can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure to catch her on the weekends anchoring the sports segments at 6 and 11PM!
