GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – It's a glimmer of hope in the middle of flu season. Information released Wednesday by the State Department of Health show flu activity is falling across Florida.

Flu activity remains above the peak activity of the last two years. However, fewer outbreaks were reported last week.

Outbreaks were reported in Columbia, Union, Dixie, and Marion counties. Flu activity remains "mild" or "moderate" across North Central Florida.
