Dixie teen leads deputies on chase, crashes car and starts fire

DIXIE Co., Fla. (WCJB)-- A 17-year-old in Dixie County teen has been arrested for the second time in a month.

According to Dixie County deputies, Zaytarious Chisolm was arrested last month at Dixie County High School for trying to sell marijuana.

Once he was booked, the Department of Juvenile Justice told sheriff's officials to release Chisolm to his parents.
The over the weekend, he tried to use a counterfeit bill.
When he saw a Cross City Police officer, he began driving away.

Deputies had to help respond, and during the chase, Chisolm crashed through a fence and into a Cross City sewer lift station.
There was a generator and underground propane storage, that started a fire, consuming the vehicle. But Chisolm got out before the fire started and officials had to chase him.

A tase was used, and he was arrested. The fire was contained, and it is believed to be about $100,000.00 in damages for the town of Cross City.

Chisolm has once again been released to his parents.
