STARKE, Fla. (WCJB) — State Road 100 was shut down after three people died in a crash Tuesday morning near Starke, according to the Bradford County Sheriff's Office.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers are identifying the victims of the crash as Kevin Booth, 53, of Keystone Heights, Laura Wilbert, 35, of Starke, and Christian Okrasinski, 16, of Starke.
The crash happened on State Road 100 near Southeast 109th Street. According to Bradford County Sheriff Gordon Smith, three people died in the crash.
Troopers say Booth was traveling westbound in the eastbound travel lane of SR 100.
Wilbert was traveling eastbound in the eastbound travel lane of SR 100.
The front of Booth's vehicle collided with the front of Wilbert's car, which had Okrasinski as a passenger.
Both vehicles came to final rest at the area of the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and FHP established detours near County Road 18 and SE 21st Avenue.
