It was started by the Community Foundation of North Central Florida, which wanted to harness the power of social media to help local organizations bring in funds from inside and outside the area.
Papa, president, and CEO of Community Foundation of North Central Florida said about the fundraiser, "we have donations coming in from Australia, New Zealand, all over Europe, all coming right here to North Central Florida. So, it really gives our local non-profit community a way to broaden their donor base"
