6 people hurt in workplace stabbing at Dyke Industries in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Authorities are on scene after six people were stabbed at Dyke Industries in Tallahassee.

The Tallahassee Police Department says they responded to the 2000 block of Maryland Circle around 8:37 a.m. regarding a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they discovered multiple stabbing victims and provided immediate medical attention.

Police say the stabbing suspect is now in custody.

According to a statement obtained by ABC News, Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare has received six people from the incident.

"They are currently being evaluated by our medical team. We will provide an update as soon as more information becomes available," officials wrote in the statement.

Witnesses who work at Dyke Industries tell ABC 27 the suspect is an employee who got fired. Another employee was able to fight him off during the stabbing incident.
