ACSO searching for suspects after a man was shot and killed Saturday morning

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (WCJB) -- The Alachua County Sheriff's Office says they are investigating the murder of 62-year-old Joseph Green, after he was shot and killed Saturday, November 10. 2018.

In a Facebook post, the ACSO says that around 3:00am, the Sheriff's Office got a call from a concerned citizen about a man lying on the ground in the 900 block of SW 62nd Terrace, just a few blocks North of the Split Rock Conservation Area.

When Deputies arrived, they found Green lying on the ground, bleeding and apparently shot. He was taken to the hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries.

The ACSO is asking the community for information, and ask that you call the Combined Communications Center at (352) 955-1818 with any information you might have about this crime.
