GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)-- Amazon Prime Day kicks off with 48 hours worth of deals today.
The company promises over a million discounts and deals worldwide. Last year, the website crashed and this year, the online retailer will extend its sale to two days instead of one.
New deals will launch as often as every five minutes.
Some deep discounts include $50 off the Amazon Echo and up to 50% off select TVs and up to 40% on select toys.
Other retailers have also offered deals of their own. Walmart will also be running a competing sale today. eBay and Target will also slash their own prices.
These Amazon Prime deals are only available to Prime members. A subscription costs $119 a year.
