GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — A Gainesville man was arrested on Wednesday after Alachua County Deputies say that he harbored his girlfriend who was an escaped inmate.
According to an ASO arrest report, 34-year-old Cammarron Coning was ordered to serve with the Alachua County Work Release Program for a previous probation violation. When she failed to show at her scheduled time, deputies were sent to locate Conning.
During the investigation, deputies learned that Coning was at her boyfriend's home 40-year-old Tamas Serfozo. When deputies arrived, Tamas appeared to be nervous and requested to search the home. Deputies located Coning after noticing a mattress tilted unusually inside Serfozo's bedroom.
Coning is charged with escaping from jail and Serfozo is charged with harboring an escaped prisoner. They are both in the Alachua County Jail and their bond is set at $100,000 and $25,000, respectively.
