There is a new billboard for an unsolved murder case that is entering its 10th year.

Alachua County Sheriff's Office hopes the billboard will give residents an opportunity to offer new information about the death of Lila Leach.

Lila Leach, 96, died after being beaten in her home during a home invasion in 2010 in Newberry.

“Anytime you have an incident like this within a family, it’s difficult,” said Elaine May, Lila Leach’s daughter. “It’s hard to get over, it’s a burden."

During the investigation, detectives eliminated 19 suspects by DNA and they are still looking for the murder suspect.

“I hope it brings forth some people in the community who could help us with all of this,” May said.

Even though the reward on the billboard says $8,000, the reward increased to $10,000 as of Wednesday and the billboard will be updated in a few days.
