GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -- An acupuncture school wants to make a point with the state supreme court in their long-running property tax dispute with Alachua County.

Five-Element Acupuncture contends it is an educational institution worthy of a property tax exemption. the tax appraiser's office said it did not qualify and the school sued.

A circuit court judge ruled in their favor but an appeals court overturned that in July.

Now lawyers for the school have filed a notice to ask the high court to take up the matter.
