Alachua County Public Schools increase school day hours

School days are about become a little longer for Alachua County students.
Officials are adding seven minutes to each day, starting on January 17th through the end of the school year.
Students lost ten hours of time in the classroom when schools were closed last week on Wednesday and Thursday, because of the weather.
State law says that time has to be made up. The extra time will include early release days on Wednesdays at elementary schools.
