Alachua County has a new teacher of the year. It's Lilliemarie Gore of Idylwild Elementary School.
In the picture, she's seen with Superintendent Karen Clarke and former Superintendent and founder of the Teacher of the Year program, Robert Hughes.
Gore isn't a stranger to TV20. In 2016, she was featured on our one class at a time segment. Gore says she teaches from the heart and she uses her personality.
She doesn't allow her students to bring school supplies, instead she provides everything they need, from paper, to notebooks, journals, and folders.
You can nominate a teacher for our "One Class" segment, on our website.
