Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Andrew Gillum, was in Gainesville today as part of his bus tour before tomorrow's primary.

The Tallahassee mayor stopped by the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church to talk about his plans if elected to the governor's office.

Gillum wants to shift the focus of the state's educational system from testing to teachers.

"We want better education, better health care, better wages, better affordable housing for everybody, not just the wealthy and the well-connected, but all of us. That's our responsibility. That's what I look forward to doing as governor," said Gillum

The candidate also supports the $15 minimum wage, revoking stand your ground laws, and stricter gun control.
