MARION COUNTY, Fla. A Belleview woman is looking for help after her house was destroyed by a fire early Tuesday morning.

Units responded to the home on SE 112th Avenue Road to find the home owner with minor injuries.

Luckily the homeowner was able to make it out safe and when the flames were finally brought under control, less than 25% of the home was still standing.

Fire crews say it could have been a smoke detector that tipped the owner off to escape.

James Lucas with Marion County Fire Rescue said, "Its unknown if the resident had working smoke detectors in her house, but it's paramount to the life safety and why we do for the community."

Florida State Fire Marshals along with Marion County Fire Rescue are handling the investigation and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
