Gainesville Police say that on Wednesday evening, a vehicle hit a bicyclists in a cross walk on SW 34th Street.
G.P.D. says that sometime before 7:30pm, a bicyclist was in a crosswalk on SW 34th St, near Archer Road, when she was hit by a vehicle.
The cyclist was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the vehicle was not hurt.
G.P.D. says that the driver was in the wrong, but that there will be no charges against them, but they may face a traffic citation.
Traffic was tied up for about 30 minutes while rescue crews worked on the cyclists and police interviewed the driver before the scene was cleared.
