GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)- More than 600 riders in North Central Florida attended the "Bikers on Parade" event at the Gainesville Raceway on Sunday.
Residents paid to ride in the parade raising money for first responder and military families.
All proceeds will benefit 10CAN, an organization helping veterans find happiness.
"To raise them up strong and resilient against traumatic stress and suicidal ideations but strong and resilient against internal threats that our nation has,” 10CAN Executive Director Dr. Matthew Burke said.
One couple from Williston said it is their first year riding.
"We're our family, and we're united and we take care of each other. We're always on the lookout to help out another vet or another first responder,” Mr. and Mrs. Rhonomus said.
The couple also said they hope younger generations will keep learning more about those who sacrificed their lives for America.
