GAINESVILLE, Fla., (WCJB) --- Love it or hate it, Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year.
Dianne Williams traveled from Lake City to Celebration Pointe in Gainesville on Friday morning to get a kickstart on holiday shopping.
"I bought a lot of hoodies, I bought some filet knives. I bought some blankets, I bought some boots, scarves socks," said Dianne Williams.
Besides the deals, Williams says she didn't have to spend too much time waiting in line.
"The lines went really fast in there, they were really lined up but it went really smooth," said Williams.
However a line of about 100 people formed around 3AM at Bass Pro Shops ahead of their 5AM opening, and the shoppers trickled in by the numbers throughout the day.
"It's amazing the number of people that are out here so early to shop, but the deals are so great that I enjoy spending money for the first time," said Victor Sabdul.
Sabdul said he got something for just about everyone in his family.
"I have for my grandkid, for my son, his girlfriend, boat for my grandson and I know he's going to be fascinated with that boat," said Sabdul.
While Black Friday is almost over, the deals will last through the weekend.
